Healing Extraction

The research during the residency focused on the interrelationships of extractivism and spiritual well-being and their effects within different communities. Located on the largest crystal bank of the world, Alto Paraíso de Goiás attracts a community sensitive to energetic vibrations while the region is under threat of exploitive mining operations for its rich soils. Alto Residency offered a ground to investigate into geontological connections and land-body relations and the urgencies of ecological protection. The residency was a performative and sonic journey with the intention to unlearn and discover the vibrations and tensions that arise between human and mineral bodies.
